Before purchasing I was trying to see if I could install this on a sloping ceiling. The information was conflicting so I ordered it and then contacted the manufacturer to check. They responded quickly and said it couldn't be installed on a sloping ceiling so I figured I'd have to send it back. But when it arrived I looked at it and thought it could be with a little work. It turned out to be very little work and I installed it and it looks really cool. The lamp is suspended from ropes using weights and pulleys. There is a set screw in the ceiling panel that the cable goes through, so I loosened it and fed the extra cable through from the "low" ceiling side. Then I installed it and placed a magnetic spirit level on the light bar itself, loosened the set screw and slowly pulled down part of the extra cable until it was level. Installation and leveling on a sloping ceiling took 20 minutes maximum. I installed the recommended dimmer and some Edison LEDs and am very satisfied. If you like the look, take the plunge, you won't regret it.
