So to start, when I bought my first pair of Marika Bermuda shorts (several years ago), someone had left a review that the quality of the product was not the same and that she wouldn't buy them again. Even so, there were enough good reviews and the price was right, so I bought them. They were okay, provided tummy control in the right places. When I went to buy another pair a year or so ago, they weren't in stock. Then I made this purchase. Now I will echo that other reviewer's sentiment here: I won't buy them again. The shorts I purchased were nothing like the ones I got before. The construction was flimsier, and the material scratchier. The control was anywhere but my tummy. The shorts are tight at the waist around my ribcage, and around my thighs. The seams caused irritation along my inner thighs! I actually prefer wearing the older ones. Fortunately, I got a pair of Gaiam shorts on sale. There is no comparison. It's not a bargain if the clothes are made from cheap materials, poorly constructed, uncomfortable, don't perform well. You deserve better.
