I've been moving and reinstalling 3.5 inch drives lately. I needed an easy way to temporarily mount a drive without having to dig into the case and fiddle with the bracket, power, and data cables. . Unscrew the two screws in the Orico and insert the drive straight (and reinsert the screws). I connected it within 2 minutes. It works very well. It even comes with its own small screwdriver. I have the device directly on the computer case. I think the cord is long enough that you'll probably put it on your desktop if it's around. The included little stand works well.
