Such a cool lighter! I'm probably behind the times. I honestly didn't know they made flameless arc lighters like this - AND BATTERY FROM USB!? - Gorgeous black zinc alloy metal finish - Solid feels and looks, and is well made - Nice slider built into the button as an added security mechanism - Light on the bottom illuminates the company name when the slider is open or when the device is charged. This light will turn off when the slider is closed or the battery is fully charged. I like the clicking sound when the button is pressed to activate the lighter. The lighter shows a beautiful pink-purple "flame". The length is sufficient. No more struggling and burning trying to light candles with short burnt wicks hiding deep inside where they're hard to reach. - It works really well. I actually only had to hold it up to my burnt candle wicks for a few seconds for it to actually ignite, but that was to be expected and didn't matter. They warn of continuous ignition for more than 10 seconds. Windproof - Comes with a USB charging cable. They say that it takes 2-3 hours to fully charge and that it should be turned off immediately after charging to save battery life. Loop at the end for hanging. I have no idea what the battery life is before it can't be recharged, but I'm sure it will last. Not that I use it all the time, every day. I also don't know how much you can use before it needs charging as I haven't had to charge it yet (although I've tested the cable which works). It would be nice if there was an additional semi-hidden locking button or switch that you had to press to open the slider and use the button - just in case, but it's no big deal - just keep it away from yours away from children. Also, I couldn't find if they recommend anything specific for cleaning the arc head. After lighting a few burnt wicks, a black residue remained on the arc's head when I touched it. I used a paper towel lightly dampened with water and had no problems. My only other suggestion would be to include a small black drawstring bag or something for storage. The box itself is actually pretty and even gift-giving, but I don't like keeping boxes for storage and a bag helps keep them clean and dust-free. I will definitely update this review if there are any issues with regular use but for now I am very happy and would recommend this to anyone and everyone. This lighter is superior to any conventional lighter I have used. At the current list price of $13.99 I think that's a really great price and no problem. This would be a great and affordable gift that I think most people will appreciate. I would definitely 100% order again if I was looking for a different lighter.
