This is a powerful model with a high performance graphics card and processor that requires much better cooling. After installing a few apps, I closed the lid and leaned it against a table leg to allow air to circulate from both the top and bottom. After 90 minutes of charging with no apps running, the lid was so hot it was almost painful to touch. Even if it's "normal", it's so hot that the electronics can't work as long as they should. I have laptops that still work well after 6-10 years, but I can't imagine this one lasting even 2 years at these operating temperatures. If I were doing heavy graphics (I bought it to run Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, etc.) and also charging the battery - which would be necessary given the stress on the graphics card and processor - I think it would briefly hurt me Time. Reports of yellowed LCDs, peeling displays, etc. are fairly common on the internet. The fans are so thin and tiny that it's impossible to provide enough cooling for so much computing power. I sent it back immediately and received a full refund thanks to Revain's returns policy.
