Once you figure out the best way to put them on and take them off and practice a few times, it becomes very easy. I got to the point where I could even easily open my bag at the airport to get an item or put it away without completely removing the straps. I got my first pair over a year ago. We've used them on a few trips, but those that have multiple segments and stops (some domestic but mostly international) so I'd say they did about 20 trips before there was enough abuse on any of them gave the plug. For the price of a pair I would say they are worth it. If both had lasted a bit longer I would have given them 5 stars.
