Disappointed with the quality

Let me first say that when I ordered this product I had pretty high expectations. For reference, I'm an electrical engineer working on products that require high signal fidelity for automotive safety applications. The plating is very important for signal transmission and especially for a strong connection between conductor and terminal (in this case a banana plug). With that in mind, this product makes no sense if high sound quality is your goal. Let's talk about the construction. The plug consists of a gold-plated banana plug with two small screws for connecting the speaker cable and two small screws for fixing the cable jacket. Basically, the screws are used to attach the audio cable to the banana plug and are the transmission path between the conductor (cable) and the connector (banana plug). The problem is that only one side of the audio cable has good contact, the screws are not a good conductive surface, so it is not a reliable and solid connection for the entire conductor. Ideally, all cores should have a strong bond so signals have the same impedance as they pass through the conductor. I'm sure you paid well for these forks, I'm sure you did your homework. I think Audioquest makes good products, but they come at a price. I've assembled several cables using these connectors and was a little disappointed that when using the Audioquest X2 cable and stripping the correct length of cable, only one of the screws seemed to be holding the cable in place. I had this experience with 16 banana plugs. It looks like you are buying a branded product rather than a quality product for this product. There are other products that offer a better connection. I'm not saying Audioquest is a bad company, but if quality audio cables are your goal, this isn't the best solution.
