If you are looking to start carving spoons this is a great set to start with. I have included pictures of the first three spoons I ever carved and I did it with this set. I highly recommend both the kit and the Beavercraft tools in general. Also, after the third spoon, I noticed that the straight knife dangled a bit in the handle. I contacted Beavercraft via email and explained the situation and asked what was the best way to reset the blade in the handle. Instead of giving me any advice to solve the problem, they sent me a brand new knife for free in response! You can't go wrong with them and with this set. Again, if you're new like me and just want to give it a try. Make no mistake!
