This litter is odorless, pours well, rakes and clumps but is still a bit messy as it has the consistency of Beach sand has shell marks. It doesn't handle smells that well either. The biggest problem, however, is that a 10-pound jug just doesn't do the trick. It barely covers the bottom of the litter box, let alone a usable depth of about three inches or so. The filling is made from calcium carbonate in Brazil, as opposed to the more common clumping silica gel fillings found in China. the throw has become unnecessarily complicated. In the not too distant past, buying a litter box meant choosing between two colors of plastic litter box, and picking up litter on the way home from work meant choosing between two sizes of clay-filled bags, perhaps scented or unscented. None of the items required a separate line in the family budget. I guess some of the newer litter and clumping litter boxes from above are an improvement, but some of the latest versions are out of line and fail, as is the case with mechanical litter boxes which are more problematic and expensive. . , exotic fillers that do not cope well with the basic functions of the filler.
