You can connect it to your phone via the app, which lets you control everything from brightness to time. The app is easy to use as long as it is within 10 feet of the adapter. You can add a Wi-Fi adapter if you want to control it anywhere, but don't see a need as Bluetooth supports scheduling, music sync control, color and brightness options. And as a second option, it comes with a remote control to do the same. The colors are strong and the brightness is good. For the price and what you get I would recommend.
