This is a Rolls Royce of hamster cages - plenty of space and entertainment for a Syrian, even a very large one. It's expensive (remember it's imported from Europe, NOT China), but it has pretty much everything you need, as there are bowls, a water bottle, ramps, platforms, shelters, pipes, a tray and a wheel contains . The cost of all of this adds up when you're considering a cage that doesn't come with everything and won't be that big. The door is large, making it easy to remove, move or swap toys, easy to clean, and good for storing bedding. The door locking mechanism is reliable. The wheel is big enough for my Syrian but you may need an upgrade for a really big Hummy. The pipes match mine and he has no problem with the ramps but I'm wondering if a really big pipe can go through the pipes? They have air holes but aren't as big as the popular colorful hamster cages (they're more oval and larger), so if you want more, get them from the manufacturer. My hamster hangs around quite a bit, hiding his food and sleeping on the top shelf, and the little door is handy for petting while we tame. Bedding can fall out of the top screen door but will fall into the bottom cage or be easily stuffed back in depending on the type you are using. The bike comes with a stand, or it can also be removed from the stand and attached to poles or hung from the ceiling like I did with mine, which gives additional floor space. The platforms somewhat limit where the wheel can be placed, but there is room for a large one. As others have said the destinations aren't the best but they have pictures so you can probably figure it out. The cage I received had clear tubing and white fittings, not the green ones shown in the photo. Niblets gives this cage 5 stars for hamsters! Note the wheel didn't last long, the body that goes on the axle had broken off on the side and it clicked and clicked and clapped - no fun for a hamster. I replaced it with a 6.5 inch silent spinner mounted on top of the cage in the same way and it fits perfectly.
