. This dish mat sticks to the worktop pretty well. Water drains very easily for quick draining/cleaning. Works great as a spare drying mat which can be rolled up nicely and stored in a drawer when not in use. It is easier to care for than foam mats. Our old one gets moldy and dirty, but this one can be washed right in the sink! I regularly get a thin layer of water under the mat, most likely due to the way we place the dishes on the mat to dry. onto our dish rack so it can just sit underneath and catch the water, which I think would be better than putting the dishes directly on it as it's our main drying mat.
