Perfect for my 2018 Kawasaki KLR. Used the ends of standard rods to hold the ends in place, just needed a couple of stainless steel washers and longer bolts to keep them square to the rods. Be sure to use appropriate plastic spacers in the other pole mounts to keep them from dangling from the poles. I recommend Loctite to protect the device from vibration. Be careful not to over-tighten as the internal mounting blocks are aluminum and can break off under high torque. In general, they are very durable and have withstood several significant impacts. I changed the plastic shields twice, now almost all shields fit on it.
