Review on πŸ“Ά Enhanced Netis WF2117 Wireless N PCI Adapter with 5dBi Antenna and Low-Profile Bracket by Kevin Greer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good deal but requires hard to find drivers.

Simple design gets the job done. The range is on par with others of its kind, although I haven't used it long enough to make my final choice. Just wanted to let potential buyers know that if you're running Windows 8, you don't have to worry about the drivers on the hard drive or the Netis website. Download the Intel drivers from: downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19654 and all you have to do is extract the files and point Device Manager to the drivers folder. No third-party utilities are required, the built-in windows manager works flawlessly and in some cases even better than third-party wireless managers. Background: Drivers on the hard drive and from the website were still causing error code 35 in Device Manager. I wanted to use the shotgun method with drivers because Ralink is a chipset manufacturer, but none of their downloads had the exact chipset that this card has. I included the Intel drivers in the shotgun method but this was the first one I tried and it worked so I'm sticking with it and just to help others avoid the headache try the above . Basically I am satisfied with the price.
