I bought these headlights as a direct replacement for a set of halogen headlights that were already installed in my new house. The halogens were so hot they melted the butter on the counter and everything was hot to the touch. They are just as bright, have a more even light pattern, darken well and use 1/10th the power. They were just as easy to install as anything that can be installed under a cabinet. They really thought through the design by using pre-installed socket nuts and pre-installed mounting screws. Once you've hooked up the first cable to a set of cabinets, it's as simple as simply splicing them together using the included adapters (or separately purchased patch cords for devices that aren't in close proximity to each other) and screwing screws into the cabinet. It literally couldn't be easier. I love that they work with a regular electrical switch and use the wiring that was already in my walls. However, if you are upgrading, it may be better to use the plugin version. This is not cheap imported junk but good quality and well designed.
