Review on Black SDI to HDMI Converter with Auto Format Detection, Audio De-Embedder, and SDI Loopout by David Merculief

Despite correct connection with pre-tested cables, the converter does not output any signal to HDMI OUR or SDI OUT connectors. Very general setup instructions for the most part (because it's not that hard to set up) but no info on the red light (which I assume indicates power) and the flashing green which is never explained. Customer care is an important issue. In this case, the seller asked me to contact him for customer service before authorizing a return. It consisted of a series of emails from the seller asking for a photo of the converter connections and a few technical questions about the input signal e.g. B. to the frequency, bat. I was able to answer most but not all of their technical questions (e.g. SDI input frequency). I then didn't hear from the seller for two days, after which Revain customer service stepped in and approved the return and refund. Because this product didn't work at all and the seller made it unnecessarily difficult to return this relatively inexpensive item, I cannot give this converter more than the fewest stars.
