Review on Discontinued Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR ๐Ÿ“ท Camera Body Only with 18 MP CMOS Sensor by Alexander Bambang แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

Despite the fact that the seven is cropped, all L-ki fit perfectly on it. Waiting for 7D Mark II! They promise a lot there, but I think they will meet my expectations. The conclusion can be drawn as follows: 7D is a high-speed reportage camera, more technologically advanced than its cropped predecessors, I mean 50D and 60D, the seven should be compared more with top-class models, such as 6D and 5D Mark II, and in terms of rate of fire with 1D Mark IV, whatever one may say, one figure in the name of the model indicates belonging to the top class. And thanks to this, in 7D everything is done as well as in 5D Mark II, III, and in the last 3 units.

Pros
  • There are many advantages, but first I will highlight the main ones: 1.) Autofocus. 19 focus points work great. Tracking autofocus never fails. 2.) High speed continuous shooting. 8 fps is even comparable to 10 fps in 1D Mark IV (but certainly not comparable to 12 in 1D X). 3.) Durable metal body. Water, snow, mud and even fire are not afraid of the seven. You don't have to worry about extra bumps, the only thing is that the secondary screen scratches quite a lot. 4.) Small noise at high ISO. Acceptable noise even at 6400, but at 12800 defects already appear. 5.) 100% viewfinder. Much more spacious than the 5D Mark II. 6.) Superb Full HD video at 24fps. Not as "reference" as in 5D Mark II and III, but still very good. 2 processors provide a high rate of fire and low noise, so you can scribble RAWs in batches. It lies very nicely in the hand, it feels similar to the 5D Mark III, the seven, by the way, is larger and, so to speak, stronger than the 6D. An additional screen is very handy, the main screen is โ€œalmost not tenderโ€.
Cons
  • I found one drawback, but it is more related to the lens than to the seven itself. 70-200mm f/2.8L is very slow, I donโ€™t even know why, tracking autofocus doesnโ€™t plow at all, although everything works fine with 24-105mm f/4L and others. Another drawback is that if you wet the seven, well, for example, flop into the water with it, then some keys start to stick and in order for them to work, you need to dry the camera well, but the shutter button works under any conditions, so you can still take pictures . I didnโ€™t find any other shortcomings, the 7D is the perfect โ€œcroppedโ€ camera for reporting, which does its job perfectly.

Has some pros A worthy model of its range and its price category. I have been working with photographic equipment for more than 20 years and I am glad that there are such solutions in technology. Got cons: I agree, the battery is low-capacity, but buy a battery pack and everything is decided. I would like a connector for a second memory card!
