Frustrating - you may have to pay more for a better design

I hate to say this device looks and feels good but doesn't perform well. Leopold was stolen from me and this device worked 1000% better. Leopold even replaced it for free when the LCD in the viewfinder went dark after 5 years, yes, free replacement after 5 years, now it's after-sales service. sticking a flag - that's just creepy under the preforms. I have a steady hand and many years of experience, so there is no operator error. Literally 80% of the time, despite half a dozen attempts, the flag simply won't register. Including aiming with a stick or flag. Most of the time he even has trouble aiming at other golfers on the green I guess because of the movement or the color they might be wearing? a sand trap I estimate from the fairway is the same distance, just as a rough approximation. It's just not the kind of experience required to get accurate readings, or what you can expect from a laser. At the end of the day, frustration is not something you need to bring into the game of golf. To be honest I'm not sure if this is the right decision as I'm not going to pay $500 for a product that really should be under $200. After 6 months with this unit today I asked the seller to replace it hoping I just got a bad one. I'll try to get back to you with your answer.

Pros
  • Range: 5 to 800 yards (5 to 250 yards to the golf flag). Accuracy: +/- 1 yard
Cons
  • Scarce Manual
