Review on Ultimate Freedom and Comfort: Voovix Minimalist Running Barefoot Shoes for Women and Men by Ken Lawson

I bought these sim racing shoes with fanatec pedals and they fit the bill perfectly. They're soft and flexible enough to feel good on the pedals, but strong enough to protect my feet from metal surfaces during hard braking and heeling. They are comfortable enough to wear indoors and outdoors for long walks/light jogs. I will be ordering more pairs for me and my wife.
