I don't understand all the negative reviews about mounting screws not being included. It's not in the description, so why would you expect it to be included? They are sturdy and very well made. Before installation, be sure to disassemble the nylon bushings and lubricate them with a good lubricant. Will make them noiseless and wear-free in the next century. Now some facts/my opinions: - Has nylon washers and a nylon bushing - Mounting holes are .44" diameter so 3/8" bolts/screws must be used but there is plenty of room to add up if needed to drill 1/2" to 1/2" bolts/screws. - Mounting holes 3 5/8" center to center - Hanging hole is .67" diameter with slight extension for carabiners - When using 3/ 8" bolts/screws allow you to use the bushing with absolutely no disassembly - the bolt that goes through the swing actually threads into the bracket on the opposite side and then you thread the lock nut onto it. Will never accidentally fall apart - NEVER use the included snap hooks on anything over 150 pounds. No proof, but just looks crappy compared to the swing hanger - If you're using a swing for your porch, it's also highly recommended to use something like Prime-Line Products SP 9678 Porch Spring with it. This way there is a failsafe to prevent someone from getting hurt if the spring breaks.
