Longer curing/exposure time

Overall I am satisfied with the HATCHBOX 3D printer resin. I did a few tests with it before starting and found that the exposure time needed to be increased compared to what I've used with other white resins from other brands. It's a lot more opaque, though, so it's a reasonable expectation. Once installed it worked fine. The smell is strong as far as I can tell my trash. I try to handle all uncured resins as safely as possible by wearing a VOC cartridge respirator, gloves and protective clothing and being aware of cross contamination. I use it in my garage as it offers excellent ventilation. Personally, I prefer a stronger tar smell as it's a good indicator of whether ventilation is adequate. My fully cured products have no lingering odor. I noticed very slight yellowing in a few places, mainly due to overexposure combined with a not so successful attempt to wash the piece in isopropyl alcohol prior to final light curing. It was my fault but I checked the limits for verification purposes. I don't expect to find this in normal use. I'm happy with this resin, I did a test to break a piece with a hammer and found it harder than other brands. No dents from intentionally dropping finished products onto the concrete floor. This is a hard resin. While it's not my favorite white resin brand, it comes in at number two and I enjoy using it. I think that's a fair price for the quality and quantity. I hope my experience is helpful and please click the button below.
