Ideal if the child will never sleep in it. NOT ideal for travel as your child will not be able to sleep in it. The pillowcase has these hard plastic inserts that basically correspond to what your baby is sleeping on the floor. Also, due to some velcro you can't put sheets on it and the material is a bit like a sleeping bag - I don't want my face rubbing against it all night. The only way to make it comfortable is to remove the plastic liners and slip some thick blankets under the crib, which isn't exactly up to safe sleep standards. Very disappointed with this product. I had high expectations based on the many positive reviews here. If you're still buying this, make sure you test it out with your child before taking it on a trip. Don't wait to solve all your problems with this "travel cot" after a hard long day of travel.
