Too much focus on Joy-Cons, seller only sends black ones

I was very disappointed with this case for several reasons: - I wanted a Smokey Slate (translucent) case but the seller added Smokey Black. Crates of slate. I gave up after returning and receiving a second black case (not translucent), both in a "Smokey Slate" box. Putting the case on puts a lot of pressure on the shoulder buttons and Joy-Cons. When I took it off so I could dock, I could see the Joy-Cons flexing in the rails. It bothered me so much that I stopped using this case and will not buy another one. A few words about cases and covers: they don't protect your console like you think they do! I think most of us are used to putting a protective case on our phones and immediately think of doing the same on the Switch. They only protect the console from falling, if you're lucky it lands on the bottom corners. If it falls on the face, the joysticks will break. If it falls on the top corners, the shoulder buttons will break (the inner button will detach from the board). Save money hoping this will protect your Switch. If you just want it for better grip, take the cheapest TPU grip case you can and cut off a small section of the bridge over the shoulder buttons with scissors or wire cutters. I made this modification to a different switch and the case still holds up well enough to get the "grip" benefit. It's this loop that makes take off so difficult, causing you to strain your Joy-Cons.
