The mouse is about 15 years old. Haven't used it often. Outwardly, there are practically no signs of wear. But I began to notice that the buttons behave incorrectly (see disadvantages). Googled it, it turned out to be a common problem. The following helped me: I disassembled it (I indicated in the photo where the screws are, on the sticker under the batteries you can see the crosses, the other two under the overlay, which must be carefully peeled off, then it sticks well and does not leave). Who has a thumb button (an early revision), you will need to unhook its connector, you will see for yourself how to unscrew everything. I carefully removed the cover with a white "button" from the Omron relay (I pry it as neatly as possible from the side of the free edge with a narrow screwdriver, there is just thin plastic and a lock. As it was removed on the one hand, with the second lifting the cover up and to the side, it was also unhooked). Then I dipped it in alcohol with a wooden toothpick and wiped the place of contact of the plates (in the photo I pointed around, I did it on both sides of the plate). It was visible microdirt (maybe working out), that is, over time, somehow something got there, although the mouse is home use, and everything inside is clean. After that, we collect everything in the reverse order, and enjoy the result
