I have been using Memorex DVD+R discs for a few years now. The only time I get disk verification errors, as some people have experienced, was when I started using DVDs as backup media. I've found that these errors only appear when I try to fill the disk completely (without leaving much free space). The amount of disk space seemed to correspond to the number of files being written rather than the actual amount of data (perhaps due to the amount of disk space required to write a directory of files, I'm guessing based on my empirical observations only.). Since then I've consistently left around 250-300MB of free space on each disc I burn and I've had virtually no problems since. Hope that helps.
