Connects 3 external monitors

I bought this product for a 1 cable solution to connect 3 monitors: 2x 1440p and 1x 1080p. It worked for that. However, I would like to point out some problems that have arisen during the work. I had to install custom DisplayLink drivers. This required special approval from the IT department on a work laptop. My work laptop was getting very hot and thermally throttling, even with the lid open and relatively low CPU usage. This is probably a lightning issue as I get the same issue when I overload TB3 with large file transfers. The laptop cooling pad is enough to keep my laptop from thermal throttling. When enabling 3 external monitors, the laptop monitor with Intel 8665u graphics should be disabled. I can keep all 3 monitors and the laptop monitor on when connecting to my gaming laptop with the 1060 built in. I couldn't get the 1440p monitors to run at 144Hz so I'd say it's not for gaming. There is a slight but noticeable input lag. I'm not sure if it's because the 8665u/6700hq I tested the docking station on wasn't powerful enough for it. I will notice that if I disable one of the monitors and leave only two monitors, the input lag becomes almost negligible. Overall, 5 stars is still appropriate in my opinion. It works great as a one-cable solution for setting up three external monitors and has greatly increased my WFH productivity by removing many cables from my desk and making it easier for me to move around the house even when I'm not want to be in my home office. Before this dock, I used an external GPU case with a 2060 Super inside. I couldn't use it anymore because IT wouldn't let me install GeForce drivers on my work laptop. The eGPU solution also costs four times more than the iogear docking station. However, it was a great 1-cable solution that allowed me to game on my work laptop without suffering from input lag, use my monitors at 144Hz, and have a smoother experience overall.
