It takes some maneuvering and a little force to push the bottom edge of the sunshade deep enough into the dashboard/windshield corner for it to fit a bit. And it still doesn't clear the rearview mirror even after tilting. What would be another problem (especially in my 17 year old car) is having to readjust the rear view mirror every time the cover is used. I ended up folding the car's sun visors to keep the sunshade in place. I suggest choosing a different brand of sunshade when buying one for your 2014 Volkswagen Jetta SE.
