The plates are very beautiful. I haven't washed them all yet, and like most melamine plastic plates, they're likely to get scratched. But of the three sets I bought, each had a broken bowl. There are bubbles that "burst" when pressed, leaving cracks on the surface. You must be kicked out. One of the 3 defective bowls had a series of blisters on the bottom. I will quit too. seems disappointed. but the plates all seem to be fine! As another customer noted, the design of the shells is a base that doesn't match very well. But I love the dishes and Yinshine was quick to send replacements!
