I understand that there are much better embroiderers than me who could appreciate this kit, but the description is definitely correct not match the product. I got this set from my husband for Mother's Day. He asked all the relevant questions to see if this was what I needed and we assumed we would get that. It's a beautiful painting BUT unless you're incredibly skilled at sewing, have perfect eyesight and incredible focus, this set probably isn't for you. It mainly consists of 3-thread and 2-thread cross-stitch. The canvas is not painted. threads included. However, I've already spent $25 to enlarge the pattern (for a $20 set), so maybe someday I'll be able to. relax me
