Review on ๐ŸŽค Sennheiser Pro Audio ME 3 II Dynamic Microphone: Premium Sound Quality for Professional Performances by Brian Finley

This is NOT *UPGRADE* to the original ME3!

Completely dissatisfied with this microphone. I bought this after accidentally snapping the wires from the connector on my original ME3 which was quite old. I thought why not get a new version. Well, it seems like the engineering geniuses at Sennheiser decided to shorten the boom of the *new, improved* ME3-II microphone (right). Big. Guess what? The microphone element isn't as close to the mouth, and while it cancels out feedback quite well, the extra distance makes a big difference in volume, requires extra gain, and makes it more susceptible to feedback. I sing in a hard rock band playing guitar and now I have to crank it up too much and can't avoid the feedback in our rehearsal room. It could be better in concert, but I'm not sure about that. So I ordered a new connector for my ME3 (left) and will try to fix it using the instruction video I found on YouTube. I now very much regret this purchase.
