The wires on this tachometer are half the length and were easy to hook up once I added a few feet of wire to attach. This thing registers revolutions immediately. Idles over 7500. I've tried switching between 4, 6 and 8 cylinders and it made no difference, I think the switch isn't working. When the display reads over revs the V is larger and the 2nd rev number never lights up unless I wiggle the rear forks, but as soon as I let go of the forks the numbers go out again. I bought this to use at a HEI dealer on a 250 I6 engine. Too bad I didn't save time and money by buying a branded speedometer at a higher price. I'm not happy with that at all.
