I would like to point out that this motherboard requires 2x8 pins: one for powering the motherboard and one for powering the peripherals. I was fine with just an 8 pin connector until I upgraded my GPU. I intend to update this review to confirm that the shutdown is caused by a missing power cord. Overall I am satisfied and will continue to buy Asrock motherboards due to the value for money.
