I bought these binoculars for my 2 year old twins. My daughter seems to really enjoy them even if she really doesn't quite know what she's doing yet. She keeps flipping them around so she can see a wide view. which I remember doing as a kid. When I first set them up I was actually surprised how far you can see with these things and how easy they were to set up. The focus ring on top focuses both viewfinders, but the right one still has to be fine-tuned by turning the viewfinder left or right - there's actually directions included that explain how to set them up for those who don't know. I have a pair of Kona 7x50 binoculars and although the images are brighter through that thanks to the 50mm lenses, I was still impressed with the ability of these 8x21 binocs. I would recommend these for anybody, really. They are durable and they work really good for the price you pay.
