While I'm not a fan of using these collars for dog training, we had to resort to one for our growing pit bull. He has become too violent and unfortunately pulls too much on a normal collar or harness. We've paired this with a very heavy duty dual handle leash and so far the difference has been like day and night. He doesn't like the slight pinch when he pulls or tries to throw what we call his "tantrums" when we're not getting him where he wants to go. added as needed depending on the size of the dog at the time of purchase (we chose the big one because he is still growing) Cons: even with detachable links we can no longer take him out otherwise it becomes too tight and now it's just too loose and slips when throwing a tantrum outside.
