READ THE MANUAL GUYS!
White dust (mineral deposits) is caused by using the wrong water! You must use distilled water! The manual specifically states that a demineralization cartridge is OPTIONAL and a distilled cartridge is used if you live in a hard water area. I hope you clean your device regularly as directed. If you live in a hard water area, you should be cleaning this thing AT LEAST every week!
