jar opener Device might work well but not if you have arthritis in both hands and need to hold the jar with your muscles to keep it from spinning when you put the device on the lid use . This automatic can opener is quite bulky but works great! no more sore hands and no more frustration trying to open the metal cap on a panoma juice bottle late at night when your other half is already asleep. The only thing I don't like is that you have to hold the button down the whole time and it's hard to tell when the cap is actually unscrewed as the top of this opener doesn't lift when the cap is unscrewed. An automatic on/off sensor solves both of these problems. However, it's worth every penny as is, although not at $150 for the new one I've seen it for, but having seen it in person, I'd pay that price for a new one! I paid $50 for a 'very good' used one, works great.
