Get ready to shorten your hyphen! And no radio!

Doesn't fit factory hole. You need to trim the actual line to fit smoothly. (still in progress) There is no BMW antenna adapter in the kit, just an extension cable for the head unit. I didn't buy an extra kit for my car to do all that extra work and expense. Steering wheel controls have not yet been tested. It would have been nice if the kit included a dime piece of plastic to put environmental control under the radio. Update: After 2 hours of work after return, the dashboard was fitted like a glove. Everything works except for the radio part that should have been in the box. I wanted to get the dash trim back and found that you can't put the dash trim back on with this radio leaving a gaping ugly stain on either side of the screen. What the heck is the point of buying a custom radio to keep the dashboard's stock lines if you can't trim it back. I suppose I could demolish the fairing to put it on either side so I can hear it rattle. I also had another problem. Out of the box the screen was too bright (blurry), scrolled down to the notification area, pressed the brightness button to adjust and the screen went black, after that I couldn't do anything. I had to remove the radio, unplug and plug it back in to boot it back up. Last problem when installing: you have to get the air vent after the radio again, to do this you have to tilt the radio slightly (no problem) until you have to remove the radio, you cannot remove the air vent keeping the radio out of the way where the air vent is held becomes. Luckily, the radio can pop out just long enough to slip out from under the vents. All of this could have been avoided with a little engineering, e.g. B. by tilting the screen a few degrees or making it removable.
