If you had a favorite filing cabinet from the 1950's or so, you will never find such a durable, comfortable quality in today's offerings. But today it's probably the closest thing to good old American engineering, which frankly it isn't. I like the rounded knobs that don't cut your hand when pulling out the drawer, but these knobs are typically 'new', made from square pieces of metal with nicely smoothed but still sharp edges. . And the body metal of today's version is strong, and yesterday's version is fragile. However, it meets the basic requirements for a stable filing cabinet. The shipper provided minimal tracking information which means nothing is available through any shipping service they chose. And the Revain still shows it's on the way, despite actually being delivered a little earlier than expected (about three weeks ago)!
