I couldn't place the radio close to the wall because the power cord was sticking out too far. This new cable helped me get it closer so the gap is now only about 3/4 inch. I wish it was closer but it still looks way better than before. Note: My radio requires a polarized plug and I was concerned the cord would not fit or tear it to death. it fitted and I was REALLY paying close attention to which sides were energized and which were neutral. I would keep that in mind for the future). If you don't know which side is which, ask someone who knows electrical wiring to help you figure it out. I still don't know if hooking it up the wrong way will kill my radio, but I really don't want to experiment and find out the hard way lol.
