I bought these socks for the rubber grip strength when climbing up and down slides and indoor play equipment. I don't want my son to take his socks off when he's playing in public, so I decided to invest in a pair (a pair) of socks that will keep him from slipping when he's trying to climb the slide. I am very happy with the grip of these socks. The black color is fantastic, deep and rich. And the tongue on the back of the sock is a great bonus :) Because of the perfect fit, by the way! I love these socks and will buy another set when my boyfriend outgrows them!
