The scale does what it is supposed to do. I bought it because on my "WW" scale you can weigh up to 12 pounds instead of 6 pounds and it's really easy to clean. I also like that it can measure fluid ounces and dry ounces. However, I wish I had read the description better. In the headline, the platform is described as "oversized". The size is good enough at 6 inches, but when you place a dinner plate on the scale it becomes very difficult, almost impossible, to read the weight. My "WW" scale had a large and tall platform, making it easy to determine the weight of items on dinner plates. I usually cook for two. So let's prepare a casserole recipe and divide it into two separate dishes - one for cooking, the other for freezing. The presence of two scales makes it easy to place two smaller baking pans - 1 on each scale to evenly divide the recipe. I got this scale at a reduced price as part of a holiday sale so I'm keeping it to myself.
