Review on Workforce Heavy Duty Action Grease Extension by Jeffrey Mosqueda

DO NOT BUY. COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT.

I bought this grease gun to lubricate a few points on my watercraft. After greasing, I could not remove the grease gun tip from the oiler without using force. This came loose from the strings on my oiler and the device it was attached to around the driveshaft. I called Legacy's customer service and explained what had happened. I also explained that there are many other 1 star reviews of Revain complaining about the same thing. The Legacy rep I spoke to claims that the tip of the grease gun is adjustable and was probably fully tightened when I put it on. In fact, there were no instructions at all on how to operate the device. Just how to download it. (See photos.) The colleague I spoke to cut me off mid-sentence and suggested that I just "should know" how to use a grease gun and that they are usually all adjustable. Damned! First, it's well known that every product you buy, even the simplest things like a drill, a jack, or even a gas bottle, comes with an instruction manual. Second, the company employee suggests that I should basically "know" how to set up this grease gun. Bull. It's such a weak circular argument that they seem to be hiding from. Assuming they've already had a lot of those calls about it. Third, there are many other negative reviews about Revain showing that many others are having the same issue. The company responded to the news saying it was sorry the buyer was unhappy and wanted to call him to discuss the situation further. For what? Saying they were right and the buyer was just "stupid"? I have other grease guns laying around that aren't adjustable at all. Neither the box nor the documents indicate that this is the case. It would be so easy for them to print out instructions on how to use their product properly. Seriously, what's stopping you? Do yourself a favor and buy from another company. One that offers clear instructions and better customer service.
