I purchased this product about 6 weeks ago based on reviews and that it would operate on A/C power.Upon receipt I was very impressed with the size and design of the unit. It is just a bit smaller than other units but I find it is the perfect size for a Senior couples kitchen. I can't comment on the deodorizing features because of lack of time that the unit operated.After six weeks the door no longer opens by proximity or handy switch. Prior to that time, it worked perfectly.Needless to say, I'm disappointed and would not recommend this product.In fairness to the manufacturer, I haven't attempted to get a replacement yet.A FEW HOURS LATER.I contacted the manufacturer and they replaced the lid unit in a very efficient manner. I look forward to see how the new lid mechanism works and lasts.
