I brought my old VGA monitor to life with this adapter. The monitor itself works as I've tried connecting VGA to some of my other computers and everything worked fine. For some reason when I use this adapter I get weird static loops, the image appears and disappears. It doesn't appear to be corrupted in any way, but this problem persists. Even if it works, it works great. I only wish it had lasted longer than a few weeks. When it worked, the picture quality was indistinguishable from a reliable VGA-VGA connection. highlighted? Not really. It seems a bit of a gamble whether you will get a working product or not. For $8, it might cost someone. Not for me. About a week after this message was posted, I received an email grateful for the replacement of my faulty product. I also got a new VGA cable which was a nice bonus, very thoughtful of them. I have yet to use the VGA cable, but my new adapter works great. Many thanks to the company for the replacement delivery, very satisfied with the quality of the goods. I still wish I didn't have to get a replacement as it took me a while to get the second monitor working for what I need to do, but I have a second monitor anyway.
