Don't be fooled by the 4.5 stars, this shoe is not waterproof for the following reasons: 1. It has a cardboard insole that leaves a wet paper mess when you use it in the water. My kid hated it and kept complaining about dirty wet feet.2. If water enters the shoes, it is not filtered, it is simply filled to the top (see my attached photos). This makes the shoes heavy and difficult to move in. The only way to get water out of the shoe is to turn it upside down and pour it out by hand. Shoes are always dry. This problem resulted in mold growing on the edge of the shoe, which you can clearly see in one of my photos. *** If you want real water shoes, DO NOT waste your money on them! ***
