I bought these to replace the standard light bulbs on my daughter's horse trailer. Conventional lightbulbs suffer from both burnt bulbs and poor connections between the bulb and socket. This should solve both problems as the LEDs need to last a very long time and they are permanently attached to the board and completely sealed with some kind of epoxy. I have two smaller elements that I would change if I were designing them. I would make them a single wire connection first and rely on mounting screws for grounding. I just pulled the white part into the case and still grounded it with the mounting screw. It's not a big problem, but I guess most applications don't really need a hard-wired connection to ground. Another thing I would change is the presence of a cavity behind the base of the lamp. The way it's done, the wire should go straight into the hole so it doesn't get pinched by the case when it's installed. If there isn't a hole where the wire exits the bracket, there isn't room for it. Otherwise, they should last a very long time and be very reliable.
