Review on 🎩 C.C Women's Chenille Soft Warm Thick Knit Beanie Hat Cap by Scott Goff

This hat is made in very soft and pleasant shades of blue. It is not transparent at all, which is confirmed by the drying time. I have two problems with this hat: First, it's huge! I solved this by washing, which reduced it to the point where I can at least wear it now. The second and biggest problem is that the hat smells bad. When it arrived it was like a chemical smell and I thought it might have picked up the smell from the vehicle. However, I washed the hat and it still smells! I don't use much fragrance through dryer sheets due to allergies, but this hat smelled so bad I soaked it in water with scented laundry balls. When it's still wet, it smells better. I laid it out to dry and as soon as that happened the smell returned. Not as strong as in the beginning, but still noticeable. I'll try soaking it again and hope the second time does the trick but I don't understand why the smell is predominant. The seller needs to clarify this as no one wants to wear a smelly hat!
