1. The slots are too wide (wider than standard hex head) and too thin at the thinnest point.2. The threaded holes are too close together so not much drilling is needed if an unthreaded hole is needed. The optics and overall processing as well as the price are excellent. I would not trust connections to devices that use slotted slots - they are very likely to fail over time. It really looked like a winner until I started using it and taking a closer look. This plate would be nice if it had the right dimensions for the slots and their depth, and more space between the holes. I give three stars because the themes are good. I don't like the prices of the Smallrig, but their similarly sized plate feels more comfortable and solid.
