So my old cheap Walmart popcorn died so I needed a replacement. I see this and am intrigued by the vortex fan. It came quickly and I decided to make a batch. I filled a small cup with seeds and connected them. Unlike my old one, this one has a switch. It's very stiff but I wasn't worried as I figured it would loosen up over time. It may take a little longer to show up, but whatever. My show can wait. Anyone who's had an air popper knows that it's not uncommon for a few popped beans to miss the bowl and a handful of old maids (unexploded beans is an industry term) fly out. But I've never seen so much garbage. I've included photos of my second bowl, not full measure later, to show how much didn't pop out. So I pulled out a pre-measured test bowl. 28 grams. Nine of them were missing. I have already thrown the box away so I will not be returning it but I will buy a replacement as soon as possible. The local thrift store will get it.
