I bought this to replace my favorite lighted round mirror. I chose this option because of the polygonal option, which I could also use for my daughter who was in speech therapy and needed it to look inside her mouth. While it worked well for this purpose, I'm definitely disappointed for any other use. You need to get your face as close to the light as possible, and magnifying mirrors are so small they're almost useless. A small freestanding mirror is fine, although I have to either lean very far over my counter to use it when it's attached to my wall mirror, or attach it to a vanity mirror and leave fingerprints on it to take it off. I'm saving for another round lighted mirror for my kids to use.
